The act of inflicting or imposing; as, the infliction of torment, or of punishment.
INFRINGEMENT n.
ion; nonfulfillment; as, the infringement of a treaty, compact, law, or constitution. The punishing of this infringement is proper to that jurisdiction against which the contempt is. Clarendon.
INHUMAN a.
Characterized by, or attended with, cruelty; as, an inhuman act or punishment.

INQUISITION n.
