TRIMETER a. 2 definitions
Consisting of three poetical measures. -- n.
TROCHOMETER n.
A contrivance for computing the revolutions of a wheel; an odometer.
TWADDELL; TWADDELL'S HYDROMETER n.
A form of hydrometer for liquids heavier than water, graduated with an arbitrary scale such that the readings when multiplied by .005 and added to unity give the specific gravity.
UDOMETER n.
A rain gauge.
UPSETTING THERMOMETER n.
A thermometer by merely inverting which the temperature may be registered. The column of mercury is broken and, as it remains until the instrument is reset, the reading may be made at leisure.
