AMBREATE n.
A salt formed by the combination of ambreic acid with a base or positive radical.
AMBREIC a.
Of or pertaining to ambrein; -- said of a certain acid produced by digesting ambrein in nitric acid.
AMIC a.
Related to, or derived, ammonia; -- used chiefly as a suffix; as, amic acid; phosphamic acid. Amic acid (Chem.), one of a class of nitrogenized acids somewhat resembling amides.

Destitute of water; as, anhydrous salts or acids.

Pertaining to, or obtained from, anil; indigotic; -- applied to an acid formed by the action of nitric acid on indigo. [R.]
