PICKET n.
outsiders, and prevent them from working for employers with whom the organization is at variance. [Cant]
PLANARIA n.
Any species of turbellarian worms belonging to Planaria, and many allied genera. The body is usually flat, thin, and smooth. Some species, in warm countries, are terrestrial.

Like the planarians.
PLATYELMINTHES n.
class of helminthes including the cestodes, or tapeworms, the trematodes, and the turbellarians. Called also flatworms.
PLYMOUTH BRETHREN n.
ious sect which first appeared at Plymouth, England, about 1830. They protest against sectarianism, and reject all official ministry or clergy. Also called Brethren, Christian Brethren, Plymouthists, etc. The Darbyites are a division of the Brethren.

The indigent class in the State; the body of proletarians.
PROSCRIBE v.
enounce and condemn; to interdict; to prohibit; as, the Puritans proscribed theaters. The Arian doctrines were proscribed and anathematized in the famous Council of Nice. Waterland.
