DISTAL a.
Pertaining to that which is distal; as, the distal tuberosities of a bone.
DIVERTICULUM n.
A blind tube branching out of a longer one.
DIVING a.
ration being sustained by the compressed air at the top, by fresh air pumped in through a tube from above. -- Diving dress. See Submarine armor, under Submarine. -- Diving stone, a kind of jasper.
