GUNTER'S LINE n.
A logarithmic line on Gunter's scale, used for performing the multiplication and division of numbers mechanically by the dividers; -- called also line of lines, and line of numbers.
GYMNOCHROA n.
A division of Hydroidea including the hydra. See Hydra.

A division of gastropods in which the odontophore is without teeth.

HERBIVORA n.
An extensive division of Mammalia. It formerly included the Proboscidea, Hyracoidea, Perissodactyla, and Artiodactyla, but by later writers it is generally restricted to the two latter groups (Ungulata). They feed almost exclusively upon vegetation.
