A saw with a thin or narrow blade set in a strong frame.

A knife with a strong blade from ten to fifteen inches long, and double-edged near the point; -- used as a hunting knife, and formerly as a weapon in the southwestern part of the United States. It was named from its inventor, Colonel James Bowie. Also, by extension, any large sheath knife.

Mingled with brandy; made stronger by the addition of brandy; flavored or treated with brandy; as, brandied peaches.

A strong alcoholic liquor distilled from wine. The name is also given to spirit distilled from other liquors, and in the United States to that distilled from cider and peaches.
