ANCIENT a.
not the ancient landmarks, which thy fathers have set. Prov. xxii. 28. An ancient man, strangely habited, asked for quarters. Scott.

cies, and sometimes intermediate groupings, all in regular subordination, but variously arranged by different writers.
ANTHOTAXY n.
