3:6 Whosoever abideth in communion with him, by loving faith, sinneth not - While he so abideth. Whosoever sinneth certainly seeth him not - The loving eye of his soul is not then fixed upon God; neither doth he then experimentally know him - Whatever he did in time past.

1Jo 3:6 Whoever abideth in him sinneth not. One ceaseth to abide in him when he engages in sinning. See PNT "1Jo 5:21". Whosoever sinneth, that is, sins habitually, hath not seen him, neither known him. Thereby shows that he hath not experimental insight and knowledge of Christ. There is no fellowship with the Sinless One.
